[Let’s pretend] I am the editor of a confectionary magazine, “Hot Chocolates” and I am inviting talented designers to pitch ideas for an infographic that will visually explore different interesting aspects about the Mars Bar. Working in teams I want you to come up with sketched proposals that will show me your ideas for the editorial contents, the chart selections and the general layout for a design for a 2-page printed infographic, with explanations about how this could also be translated into a suitable solution for a web-based version.
Editorial Curiosities
1. There is no data provided, use your imagination about what data would/could exist about the Mars Bar, referring to wrapper to instigate ideas –you can assume that any data you might wish to use would exist or would be obtainable.
2. Spend time writing down as many different editorial ideas as possible, with different interesting angles of analysis.

3. From your list of ideas, choose five distinct angles of analysis. Your choices should EITHER be five distinct angles for which you will using one chart from each of the five CHRTS families OR you can use five charts from any CHRTS families but there should be an shared curiosity ‘theme’ that binds together the different angles – eg. about sustainability, enjoyment, sales etc.
Sketching and publishing
4. Using pens/paper or digital apps, sketch your proposal thinking carefully about the page layout, the hierarchy of what contents would be shown first vs. last, which would be biggest and smallest. For your charts just sketch them with made up values to illustrate your ideas.
5. Using Miro, publish your proposals
